St. Patrick Day Roundup - Kellis Kitchen

St. Patrick’s Day will be here in a week!  I’m sharing some related recipes this week starting with a round-up of recipes from the past that I believe represent the holiday and the Irish people – of whom I am one.   Later this week I will share recipes involving cabbage.  I had to prepare them all in one day while Mr. Picky Eater skulked around the house complaining about “the smell” the entire time.  You would have thought I had ruined all his clothes or something – men.  Let’s get on with the round-up.  I know there is at least one of these you will love!

First up is my Spectacular Spudnut – donuts made from potatoes and boy do they taste great.

Next up is Pickle Pork – we had that tonight and it was fantastic again!

Everyone love  O’Brien Potatoes, don’t they?  If not, they must have not eaten them yet.

How about some Scotch Eggs?  Scotland is really CLOSE to Ireland, right?

These are Creme de Menthe’ brownies and are one of our family’s favorite desserts.

Potato Pancakes are little round morsels of potato joy – YUM!

Last but not least is Bread Pudding – but not the regular kind with raisins because my family does not like raisins at all.  I found a fabulous alternative….

I hope you enjoyed the round up!  Please feel free to share, post to facebook, tweet, and or pin!

Who wouldn’t love any and all of these treats for the Irish holiday? Can’t wait to see what else you post.

I’m a big fan of potato pancakes…of course, who could resist O’Brian potatoes as well. 🙂

I love everything in the post, but I think the O’Brien potatoes appeal to me the most right now.

Not sure if you know this already, since you commented that you are Irish, but your biological Grandfather was 100% Irish! I do not know if he himself was born in Ireland or in the U.S., but his parents were Irish immigrants. My Mother’s pastor visited Ireland several years ago and told us that there is a large population of Guffey’s in Ireland and a Guffey County! Just a little trivia I thought you might like. 😉

These all look delicious. I’ve FINALLY located potato flour (my mother in law actually mailed it to me!) so I’m excited to try the spudnuts!
