Did you know that January is National Soup Month? I love soup in the winter so much that if you add in chili and stew I could live on it for the entire month! I recently visited some of my blogger friends and found that they too have an affinity for soups publishing many recipes on each of their blogs. With their permissions I snooped and poked around and found two soups each then I added some of my own and for good measure I threw in two tasty cracker recipes to go with those soups. I hope you enjoy these soups and plan to try a few. I have my menu plan all worked out for the next 26 days – you are getting one bonus soup recipe ’cause that’s just how I roll!
First, I looked in over at my friend Anita’s blog called Hungry Couple and found two scrumptiously creamy soups.
Cream of Chicken Soup with Cheddar and Herb Dumplings
Then I slipped on over to my friend Stacy’s blog at Food Lust People Love to find these classics.
Undaunted, I trekked down Georgia way to Renee’s Magnolia Days to find these hearty dishes.
**If this goulash had been the tantalizing dish my mother made when I was a child, I’m sure I would have liked it and my cousin Dana would not have told her to go ahead and SEND the food to the starving kids in Africa!
I headed up Indiana way to visit two friends, first was Liz from That Skinny Chick Can Bake whose blog offered up these two fabulous soups.
Cheesy Bread Topped Onion Soup
Then I headed up towards Heather’s place at Girlichef for some fabulous Michiana-based soups.
15 Bean with Smoked Pork with Greens Soup
Sopa de Fideos (Vermicelli Soup)
Then I sauntered over to Lauren’s blog at Healthy Delicious for some healthy soup choices.
Roasted Red Pepper Bisque with Asiago Crisps
I hopped a plane and flew to Canada visiting my girl Kim’s blog Cravings of a Lunatic for one spectacular soup.
Then I flew back down to the U.S. just past the border to Wisconsin where Becca at It’s Yummi! offered two lovely warm bowls.
Slow Cooker Italian Meatball Soup
Becca reminded me I had forgotten Carla out in Pennsylvania at Chocolate Moosey who had these beautiful soups.
Carla recommended I go just south of her down to Susan’s Girl in the Little Red Kitchen blog for some tasty treats.
Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Bacon Soup
While I was there, Susan thought I should visit my own daughter’s blog at Splintered Vision for at least one soup recipe.
While getting that recipe, my daughter thought I should remind you good folks of some of my own soups – so I will!
My most popular post for all of 2014 Knock Your Socks off Soup
This soup starts with a package of Hamburger Helper – Hamburger Pasta Soup
My most recent soup post: Creamy Crock Pot Chicken & Rice Amandine Soup
My All Time Favorite creation – Creamy Asparagus Soup
I love all those soups and of those I haven’t already tried, I will be making soon but they all needed just a little something……..what was it? Oh yes, they all need some crackers! So I took off for Utah….
Asked my friend Jen from Jen’s Favorite Cookies blog what she had in the way of sussed up crackers – and she recommended these:
But Jen reminded me I had a special cracker of my own – so once more I came back to my blog and added in these –
I hope you have found several soups to try during this very cold season and maybe a few new blogs to follow – let me know what you think when you’ve made one because I want to know! Enjoy! Please don’t forget to share on Face Book and Pin on Pinterest – Thank you!
