These are fun and kind of messy and kids of all ages will love ’em! Also, no cooking!! Here’s what you need:
Halloween Monster Toes!
1 package of Nutter Butters
6 squares of almond bark (or green candy melts)
10 drops of green food coloring
Black decorating gel
Purple decorating gel
Melt the almond bark in the microwave.
After you take it out – drop in the green food coloring (if using) and mix, mix, and mix! You may put almond bark back into microwave for a few more seconds.
Dip Nutter Butters into almond bark and turn.
Place on wire rack and put in the fridge for a few minutes.
After cooled, draw on the toenails with the decorator gel.
Place back in fridge.
AND – they are done! 10 minutes tops!
Now, WHILE I was making those – Mr. Picky eater asked for some chocolate chip cookies. I cruised over to my friend Joan’s blog page: Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate where she has the most amazing recipes! Found the one I wanted – it has a secret ingredient – and I made them without pecans though. Mr. Picky eater declared them the winner of the 8 year quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Thanks Joan!! Here’s the link so you can find them !! http://www.chocolatechocolateandmore.com/2012/06/chocolate-chip-pecan-cookies-and-bake.html

Kelli, so glad the hubby liked the cookies, They are my hubby’s all time favorite, and you know I make a lot of cookies around here! I love your monster toes, so creepy and fun! I think I’ll make them for my daughter’s class this year! I know the kids will love it!

I meant to say in the post that the “toenails” would be much easier and less messy as 1/2 a black or purple jelly bean but we dislike them so much, I could never remember to get them. You might want to try those instead! Take pictures!! Can’t wait to see them!

I bought a package of nutty butters and ready to go with ghosts. I have lots of candy melts in green. I have to start making my bones for brownies. I do the brownies the week end before Halloween. I buy my candy melts in colors after the holliday, marked down. Then I just put them in a plastic tub I call my candy tub. I have no problem keeping them for a year. I use them all year for candy molds that I have a collection of. Some of my molds are now getting very old and brittle so I have started to buy after season those too. You can find them 75% off. Well I will have to add a few toes on Friday too.
