For the Love of Pinterest

Guest Post by Holli Hagan-Rice

Do you know what Pinterest is? It’s basically social networking site to collect and share images, links, blogs, blog posts, recipes, and anything else you can think of on the internet.

I love to see what other people have pinned; especially the recipes.

If you’ve never tried it I suggest you check it out!

You have to sign up and wait for membership to be emailed to you, but I think it’s worth it. You can also connect it to your Facebook or Twitter account (if you want to). It’s a great way to share stuff you find on the internet or to keep up with things your friends like. You can also follow boards created by complete strangers. You can repin the pins of others to your boards, too.

So, take a moment and sign up. You don’t have to pin pages. You can just watch the pins of other people if you want.

You can also pin blogs you like to read to keep up with them. If maintain a blog you can pin your own blog posts, too.  If others like it they can repin your pin. It’s a great way to network and drive traffic to your own blog.

There are a lot of possibilities and I suggest you try it out. What can it hurt?

I honestly don’t know what I did before pinterest, haha. I pin recipes like crazy. If I don’t pin it, I’ll never make it. When I’m menu planning, my ‘recipe’ board is the first place I look for ideas!

(And, I am now following you, or your mom, whoever is reading this! Feel free to follow me back: Pam Smith or pinterest.com/86thetomato)
