Peach Galette

Have a few fresh peaches that you want to make into something delicious but cannot think of anything?  How about this quick and easy peach galette using 4 fresh peaches and frozen puff pastry!  You will not believe how delicious it is or how easy.  It will not heat up your kitchen for very long during this hot summer and your family will think you worked all day on it!  Let’s get into it:

Quick and Easy Peach Galette

Ingredients:

4 ripe peaches, peeled or not, sliced into half-moons

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 Tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

1 puff pastry thawed

1 egg, beaten with 2 Tablespoons water

3 Tablespoons powdered sugar with 2 Tablespoons water.

 

Directions:

Mix peaches, sugar, flour, vanilla and lemon juice in a bowl and set aside.

Preheat oven to 425 F

Put parchment paper on baking sheet or spray pan with non-stick spray.

Place pastry on paper.

Put peach mixture in middle of pastry and pull up dough till it looks like photo below.

Brush with egg and water mixture.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until dough is golden brown.

Mix up powdered sugar with 2-3 Tablespoons water.

After pastry cools, drizzle over top.

Serve warm with ice cream if desired.

Store in fridge.
