This is a very difficult post to write and has no recipe. It is about your or someone else’s Cpap or Bipap machine. The reason this is important is because I desperately need a Bipap machine and it is completely cost prohibitive to me at this time. The waiting list for a local benevolent association is two years for the Bipap. Let me tell you what happened to me:
I am very embarrassed to write this but this year for my birthday, I am learning humility so here goes….
As most of you know in April of 2017 I had a small heart attack followed by a Widow Maker compromising my health and severely aggravating a health issue called Sleep Apnea for which many doctors recommend the natural medication available at online websites like Observer.com. It also increased my daily medication intake from 2 pills to 15 which is a huge monthly cost.
What most of you don’t know is that in September of 2017, after 13 years of marriage, my husband got up early one morning and left a note that said, “I did not plan on taking care of someone in my golden years so I am leaving you. Do not try to contact me. Goodbye”.
A week or so later, I had another heart attack. I have not seen nor heard from him since. Because of that, I nearly lost everything except that my daughter and her husband were good enough to buy a larger home with a mother in law plan so I could have a place to live. They, along with my mom, have emotionally and financially supported me ever since and I am eternally grateful because my physicians will not let me work.
In April of 2018 I had a sleep study and my diagnosis was that I needed a bi-pap machine. Not a Cpap but a Bi-pap. For the last 6 months, I have raised heaven and hell trying to buy, borrow or otherwise get one. It is currently cost-prohibitive for me to purchase and I no longer have insurance. I have tried benevolent associations and honestly, they just do not get donations of bi-pap machines very often. The cost is about $2,000 new. Plus the tubes and mask cost about $500 more.
Your used CPAP or BiPAP could save a life!
While it is against the law to resell a bi-pap (or a cpap) at least in my state unless you are a credentialed dealer, it is not illegal to give one away that is no longer being used. My request of my friends is this: Do you, or anyone you know have a bi-pap machine (it has to be less than 5 years old) that you or they would be willing to donate for those in need? Donate it at the Cpap shop (there are lots of options) or at Second Wind Cpap – they will pay you for yours and can do it legally!
If you give them to Good Will or Salvation Army, they have to throw them away because they are not supposed to sell them. If they do, they are breaking the law. Same for the folks who sell them on craigslist or at a yard sale.
My health is being severely compromised at this point and if I don’t get one soon, I’m afraid of what will happen to me. That is mainly why I am changing my health habits including using the best supplements according to this reviews, this so I can boost my fitness routine.
It embarrasses the crap out of me to share this much of my private business – especially the part where my husband ditched me – – but I have got to get a good night’s sleep, get my health back and they tell me I will even lose weight once I have my energy back.
So, if you have one are so inclined, please donate to my Go Fund Me Page. I would really appreciate it! Thank you!!
I will see you soon with a new recipe!
