Ya’ll, I’m so tired I don’t even know what I want to write about. Probably the thing that takes the least work in picture cropping. When I got up this morning I was going to make a loaf of bread and tie dye some onesies for my grandson. Top Girl’s father-in-law is in the hospital and had surgery 3 times in 24 hours this past week. He is in very real danger of losing his leg at the hip but the physicians are being conservative. He has cancer in more places than suspected when the first surgery was scheduled. Top Girl and her husband wanted to go to the hospital for a visit so Mr. Picky-eater and I gladly offered to take care of Rocket. Babies and blue dye do not mix so that was out once again.
I still had high hopes for the loaf of bread. I want to use that new stand mixer so badly to make something with yeast!! Rocket took a short nap about 2:00 PM so I was resting and looking at Face Book (oh yes, I have news about that) when I came upon a post by Lark’s Country Heart. She is a really young really great home cook. She was talking about her recipe for cinnamon rolls. It used cream cheese and vanilla pudding and something came over me like a ton of bricks – I was making cinnamon rolls! Here are some pictures of my adventure and if you don’t count off for looks, I did okay. What do you think?
All I can say is they taste tender and amazing! I didn’t ice them because we aren’t big icing people – and they don’t need it either! Go see Lark and tell her I sent you!
You can find the real recipe here at Lark’s Country Heart Blog: http://www.larkscountryheart.com/2012/03/vanilla-pudding-cinnamon-rolls.html
So, when you go look at them, don’t be too hard on me. Remember, it was my first time to ever work with yeast!
About Face Book. I am back on Face Book on my personal page. I had to completely clean it out of friends. I had to “unfriend” several hundred people. Top Girl locked it up tight so if you would like to “friend” me, please do. I can control much easier who posts what on my page now. So, if you want – go to FB search for Kelli Davidson (Kalamitykelli) and friend me! I’ll friend ya back!

I’m sorry about Top Girl’s father in law. It’s amazing that you can still find the time and energy to cook AND blog about it. These look yummy and I just might have to try making some for the always hungry Huntington Men around here.

Kelli, so sorry about TG’s father in law! Sending positive thoughts your way. In other news, these cinnamon rolls look positively scrumptious. I’m on a cinnamon roll kick lately like no other!

Thank you Hayley. I’ve been on a cinnamon roll – roll lately myself! I just saw your post this morning so I can’t wait to read it. however, my computer at home is not cooperating, so me and the Internet service I use are going to have a visit this morning. Hopefully, I will be back up and running soon.

My type of thing again, I think I may have to start asking for samples ๐

the FIL is in my thoughts. Hopefully he pulls through!!
And, I love anything cinnamon, especially cinnamon rolls… so they look delicious. I’m not a huge icing person, either…. My theory is: the more cinnamon, the better ๐ I need to stop being lazy and make some pretty soon!
I sent you a request on FB, Pam Smith ๐
