My daughter is having a baby. Yep, on April 19th my grandson will be born.
April 19th is the anniversary of the Murrah Building bombing in Oklahoma so the date has not been a day of celebration here, but it will be now!
Because she was born when I was a teenager, we sort of grew up together. She’s been “grown” a long time although the jury is still out on me. I have unique tastes that are most adequately satisfied picking through a garage sale for odd and unconventional items to decorate my home. Somewhere along the line, she and I became subject matter experts.
As our final project together before her life becomes incredibly busy, we decided to write a few books together. The first one was published yesterday and it is about having successful a garage/yard/tag sale. The advice is none like I have ever seen in any book or magazine article but it certainly has worked for us over the years. She’s so good with the computer; she was able to include full-color pictures taken at our last one, held at her house. It was less than one month ago. We made well over $1,000 at that sale which is common for us. So, basically what we did was write it all down, take pictures, wrote the steps we took, format it and then publish for Amazon Kindle.
We have two months left before the birth and we have 3 more books to publish: two of the three are about Nano-Canning. Nano-Canning is preserving in VERY SMALL amounts; two 8-ounce jars at a time. It’s taking a long time for me to perfect those recipes which have been created for a person who wants to can, but does not want to invest the time, money, and storage space for cases and cases of jam, jelly, pickles and peppers. I love the term Nano-Canning, mostly because I made it up!
My daughter is posting a link to The Guide to Garage Sale Greatness (at the top click the image of our book ) in this post so please go over and take a look if you like. It will be available in European countries sometime later in the week. We are very proud of our project together and hope you will enjoy it too!
