Strawberry Jam and 7 UP Biscuits

Strawberry Jam


  • 5 Cups sliced strawberries
  • 7 Cups sugar
  • 1 box powdered Pectin
  • 1 pat butter


  1. Place strawberries, pectin and butter in non-aluminum pan and stir until a rolling boil is achieved.
  2. Pour all sugar in at once and continue stirring until a rolling boil is achieved again – then allow to boil for 60 seconds – don’t skimp!
  3. Take off stove and ladle into sterilized (in dishwasher) jars.
  4. Top with flats that have been simmering in water on stove.
  5. Screw tops on tight and place in a simmering water bath for 10 – 15 minutes.
  6. Take out and allow to cool in a draft free environment for 24 hours.
