Taco Meatball Wreath Appetizers or a Meal

Ingredients

  • 2 Can Crescent Rolls
  • 2 Cups finely shredded Colby/Jack cheese divided
  • ½ Lb. Hamburger Meat
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix optional
  • Salad makings – as you like them. I added lettuce onion, cheese, salsa, and avocado.

Instructions

  1. For Meatballs: Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix hamburger, 1 Cup cheese, water, taco seasoning, and Ranch dressing mix (if desired). Do not over mix.
  3. Make 16 meatballs.
  4. Line a baking pan with oil and spray with cooking spray.
  5. Place meatballs on the baking pan.
  6. Bake meatballs in oven for about 12 minutes or until all pink is gone.
  7. When baked place the meatballs on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. When the meatballs are done, turn the temperature down to 375 F.
  9. For wreath: Using a round baking pan, sprayed with cooking spray, place the 2 cans of crescent rolls on a 15 inch pizza pan in an overlapping sunflower pattern (see photograph in post).
  10. Roll the meatballs up in the crescent rolls.
  11. Bake at 375 F for 15 to 20 minutes or until crescent rolls turn golden brown.
